This agreement is between you (the artist who submitted the song) and InnerPortal ("InnerPortal", "we"). It applies only if you tick "If the creator likes it, InnerPortal may play it in the Rotation" when you submit. You can submit for a review without agreeing to this.
1. What the Rotation is
The Rotation is InnerPortal's music player. Creators who review your song live can put it in the Rotation. Listeners on the InnerPortal website (and InnerPortal's apps and browser extension, once they launch) can then play it for free, upvote it and replay it. Songs that people keep voting for and replaying stay in the Rotation; songs that don't may be rested.
2. What you confirm about your song
By agreeing, you confirm that:
- You wrote and recorded the song, or you have written permission from everyone who did (co-writers, producers, featured artists, performers).
- The song does not contain samples, loops, covers or other material owned by someone else, unless you have a licence that lets you grant the rights in section 3.
- No label, publisher, distributor or collecting society holds rights that stop you from granting the rights in section 3.
- The song is not defamatory, does not break any law, and does not infringe anyone's rights.
If any of this stops being true, tell us straight away at support@innerportal.io so we can remove the song.
3. What you allow InnerPortal to do
You give InnerPortal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to:
- Stream the song to listeners in the Rotation, on any InnerPortal station (including genre and creator stations), for free.
- Show the song's title, your artist name, artwork you provided and short clips of the song to promote the Rotation and InnerPortal.
- Make technical copies needed to do the above (for example converting the file format or storing it on our servers).
During a live review the creator plays your song on their own stream (TikTok, YouTube, Twitch or similar). InnerPortal does not record, host or restream that video; any replay of the stream is the creator's, on that platform and under its rules.
You keep all ownership of your song. "Non-exclusive" means you can keep releasing, selling and licensing it anywhere else.
4. What InnerPortal will not do
- We will not sell your song, sell downloads of it, or license it to anyone else.
- We will not change the song itself, other than technical changes like volume levelling.
- We will not claim it as ours.
5. Credit
Whenever your song plays, InnerPortal shows your artist name and a link to one social or music profile you choose. You can change that link at any time.
6. Votes, hype votes and money
Listeners can upvote songs for free. InnerPortal also sells "hype votes" that push a song up the Rotation, and the creator hosting a stream may receive a share of hype votes cast during it. Listening to the Rotation is free. The price of hype votes and memberships, and any share paid to creators, can and will change over time and are likely to go up; changes are announced in advance as set out in section 8.1 of the Terms of Service and never affect a purchase that has already been made.
7. Taking your song out
You can ask us to remove your song from the Rotation at any time by using the "Remove my song" link in your submission email or writing to support@innerportal.io. We will take it out of the Rotation within 7 days. Recordings of streams that were already published may keep the moment your song was reviewed unless you ask us to cut it.
8. Removing songs
We can remove any song from the Rotation at any time, for example after a copyright complaint (see our Copyright page) or if it breaks the Terms of Service.
9. Versions
If we change this agreement, we will show you the new version the next time you tick the Rotation box, and you will need to read it in full again before it applies to new songs.
